Painting and Palette Knives for Superb Art
Professional grade painting and palette knives are vital tools to many artists. Painting knives have no edge that is sharpened for cutting. They will flex slightly and are blunt. Many accomplished artists are skilled in the use of painting knives. Artists apply paste, pigments, paint colors and other mediums to art surfaces with painting knives. Many painting knives have a crank located between the blade and handle. This crank helps to prevent the hand of the artist from touching the surface. There are a multitude of shapes, sizes and styles to choose from. Palette knives are also blunt and have an extremely flexible blade made of steel. These knives have no edge that has been sharpened. Artists utilize these in the mixing of paint colors, additives, mediums, pigments and paste on a palette.
