Tips for Glass Painting and Glass Decoration
One of the most beautiful art forms in the world is glass painting or glass decoration. Learning to paint on glass is simple and fun, and most people catch on really fast. The following glass painting tips will enhance your experience with glass painting:
Choose glass with a clear, plain, and smooth surface for your project. Designed surfaces or printed glass is not ideal.
Use latex or surgical gloves when handling the glass that you will paint as the glass surface will pick up natural oil from your hands.
Clean the glass that you will paint in order to remove dirt and dust because paint will not adhere properly to a dusty surface.
If you are not that “artistic” you can invariably trace a design onto the glass using a black carbon liner.
You can also purchase glass painting kits that contain everything that you need to get started painting on glass.
Glass painting requires an interest in painting, some creativity, and a touch of patience.
