Experts agree that drawing and painting are first steps in the development of reading and writing. What Do You See? books feature Eric Carle's beloved storybook characters, including The Grouchy Ladybug and the immensely popular Very Hungry Caterpillar. Sketch and Tell books were designed to aid in reading and writing development. At the top of each page is a boxed area for drawing; below is a lined area for writing. Each book contains 32 pages of 50 lb sketch paper in a 5½" × 8½" (14 cm × 22 cm) paperback or 8½" × 11" (22 cm × 28 cm) poly-covered , wire-bound format. Recommended for ages 5 and up.
