Testors

For over seventy years, Testors Corporation has been producing hobby, craft and decorating products. Testors Corporation was formed by Nils Testor. When the Testors logo is present, individuals think of integrity and high quality. Their products are distributed worldwide to a vast number of artists who demand fine products. During the period between 1929 until 1936, cement was the only product produced by the company. This provided a great deal of financial stability and security. In 1936, Testors began to become involved in the hobby industry.

For nearly ten years, the company grew and prospered. During the 1940’s, hardships began to plague Testors. War has ensued and thus there was a shortage in the availability of raw materials and chemicals. However, wood was bountiful. It was easy to cut and soft. Testors purchased machinery for wood working and began to manufacture wooden models of some of the more famous airplanes. In 1944, another disaster plagued the Testors Corporation. A fire ripped through the main building of the company totally destroying the third and fourth floors of the structure. Machines and other expensive equipment were destroyed by water. Nils Testor never gave up. Within a year of the fire, the company was in full recovery.

Today, the Testors Corporation maintains its hobby products as the cornerstone of the business. Enamel paint was the first hobby product. Testors offers a wide variety of crafting products such as airbrush compressors and compressor accessories as well as other sets and kits. These products are of exceptionally high quality and meet the demands of both beginner and accomplished craftsmen. Their airbrush equipment is easy to use and simple to clean. Other products like water wash and enamel paints, sprayers and paint markers are also available. Testors products continue to strengthen the creativity level of those selecting finer products to produce exceptional works of art.
