Blockx
Blockx is a line of products developed by the BolckX La Couleur depnis. Blockx was started by Jacques Blockx I, a chemist in 1865. The company has products like Amber Painting Solution, Amber Varnish, Oil colors, Soft pastels, Watercolors. Even today, the company manufactures colors using the traditional methods of grinding only the selected pure pigments in slowly running stone mill.
Amber Painting Solution gives luminosity and thus gives a depth to the paintings. The watercolors of Blockx are made in a very traditional method by picking the finest ingredients. The pigments are grinded in stone mills and blended with light Arabic gum, special honey and pure glycerin and water. Thus, they give a stable and transparent look to the works where they are used.
Amber Varnish gives depth and a tough elastic topcoat to the paintings because of its amber and varnish components. It has 36 percent pure dissolved amber resin and protects the paintings for years together.
