These artist grade watercolors continue the Blockx family legacy that began in 1865. They are made using the same processes developed many years ago. Only the finest ingredients go into the manufacture of Blockx watercolors. Rare, tough pigments are ground slowly and repeatedly on stone mills to achieve the optimum particle size, and to eliminate overheating and iron pollution. The pigments are then blended with pure, light gum Arabic, honey made from selected flowers, and chemically pure glycerin and water. The result is a variety of stable, transparent colors with wonderful working properties.
